Are turtles gender neutral ?

Hi I'm having twins boy and girl, my husband and I would love to do a turtle theme nursery but my mom and sister thinks it's more boyish and should choose either something more gender neutral or do something different for each one . Thanks for the feedback (:

TOOOOTALLY gender neutral. but, though my opinion may be unwanted, you shouldn't be worrying about giving the girl girly stereotypes and the boy boyish stereotypes. you should raid them giving them both dolls AND trucks, colouring crayons, green and yellow AND blue AND pink. let them choose what they like and make sure they don't feel forced in to it. I've seen tons of boys with only blue, trucks, ninja turtles, and sports in their bedroom and if they grow up around stereotypes they might not end up being who they are. (especially girls with vacuum cleaners that say just like mommys. market cleaning tools for both genders people!) my favourite families to babysit for are the families who have a boy who carries around a doll but whose favourite show is ninja turtles. or a girl who owns samurai swords and costumes but has a frozen themed room. I mean not saying you're doing that and not saying you need my opinion. I'm SURE you'll be a GREAT mother! 😊
