Any mamas who gave birth in water??

Question

I'm a first time, mom and thinking about giving birth in water, my hospital offers it.  Any of you gave birth as a first time mom in water???
How did it went??

I labored and birthed in the water (tub).  Totally awesome, but its my only experience so I can't compare.  The thing I loved about it was that being weightless took sooo much pressure off my hips and back (when they drained the tub partway through to add some hot water I felt like a million pounds heavy).

I talked to my dr and he is ok with me laboring in the water but wants me out when it's time to push in case he needs to act fast and grab the baby. He said "I don't care what position you want to be in, I just need you out of the water at pushing time. I delivered a baby this morning and mom wanted to be on her hands and knees" he just chuckled. I'm ok with laboring in the water , I'm excited to experience a birth with no epidural this time around.

I didn't with my 1st but I did with my 2nd.
Laboured and gave birth in the pool. It was amazing I would definitely recommend it. I can't wait to do it again in 2 weeks 😍😄😊
