Checking to see if your dilated?

When do the doctors normally do it? Does it hurt? What do they do?

Just weird to have doctor fingers inside me.. 😳😭😂

They usually start around 36 weeks some times later. It's pretty much like a pap nothing crazy. It's a little uncomfortable but not painful unless your dr is stripping your membranes or you're in the hospital and they try and stretch your cervix then that stuff hurts. But a simple check is no big deal.

They check you by sticking their hand inside and measuring with fingers. Not sure if it's with how many or the length. My doctor didn't check until about 38 weeks. It's not fun at all. It's very uncomfortable because they go so deep. I even cramped afterwards.

For me it felt like dr was reaching for my tonsils via my vajayjay! It's uncomfortable but not painful. You'll also bleed a little.
