bosses!

So just recently I was let go from my job because I decided to go back to school... I was running an in home daycare and needed to move my hours up 2 hours.. That's it just move them up not take hours away or jumble them up or anything... Anyways my boss refused to work with me and try to find a schedule that worked for both of us like she does with the other two employees that are going to school... She was trying to cut me from 40 hours a week to 10 hours a week... Like I said I was running the entire daycare.. Was in charge of 14 kids and two other employees... So you would think she would of tried anything to keep me but nope... Sunday morning she calls me and with a 58 second phone call fires me and tells me to pick up my last check... So I try to file for unemployment and this lady lies to the unemployment people and says that I quit and now I am denied unemployment.... Am I being wronged here or is this right???
