Hymen?

hey guys :) so basically I have a hymen the covers all of my vagina besides a few little holes that the blood comes out of. I really want to get it cut out but my (asshole) doctor says he doesn't want me to because it might correct itself in time. but all my research says the opposite :/. I really just want to get it cut out because it causes me pain when I try and go into my vagina. should I and do you know if there's another way? thanks!!
