Urgent!! can we breastfeed in cold and fever?

I am running cold and fever and baby is not taking bottle . What should I do? Should I feed the baby? Or will my fever will go to him if I feed him?

My understanding is the best way to prevent the baby getting sick is to breastfeed. They get your antibodies that way. Just wash your hands. I just had a cold and was told to bf. But you may want to run it by your doctor too.

I've always read to always breastfeed baby because the antibodies you are producing for the cold passes on to the baby and is beneficial for their immune systems. Though, if you are unsure ask your doctor or LC.
