Wedding Choice Shame

Sarah
I'm pretty shocked by how much shame I'm enduring from family for the choices we've made for our wedding. His family and my own.  Apparently because I don't want what every single other bride wants, I'm wrong? I seriously thought it was supposed to be our day, our way.
Here's a small bit of what we're being shamed for:
•We aren't doing "save the dates" because we think it's a waste of money (invites are going out 6 months before the wedding, so everyone has plenty of time)
•I'm wearing Converses
•We're having cupcakes instead of cake
•We aren't getting married in a church
•We aren't hiring a DJ, we're using my dad's  PA system and a list on my laptop (DJs are too expensive)
•Neither of us wants a bachelor/bachelorette party
•A friend is doing my hair instead of me going to a salon
•I'm doing my own makeup instead of getting a makeover to keep me looking like myself (my fiancé hates makeup on me anyway)
•We're having artificial flowers instead of real
