Can not take it anymore.

Been with my boyfriend for about 19 months and I've been struggling lately. It seems I'm always stepping on egg shells always the one to make an effort. I feel as the relationship is not going anywhere. My daughter from a previous relationship has a bond with him and I gave up work to stay home. I'm now currently looking for a job but can't think how the break up would work. I've spoken to him how I felt and we both agreed to make it work. But just after one day he goes back on everything he'd said he would change. I do love him but I'm just exhausted any advice? Thanks in advance
