How do I talk to a boy without it being awkward

I've had feelings for this boy for a while now. We have only talked twice and it was really awkward. I don't know how to talk to him without it being awkward. Also everyone keeps saying he likes me and I should ask him out but I have no idea what I should do. Please comment on what I should do
