39 weeks exam

Today I had my weekley appointment and she did a exam to see how things were going. I've had a exam before at 37 weeks but today it hurt a lot and felt like she was way more up there than before. Now I'm having cramping and lower backaches. Has this happened to anyone else after a exam? I know she also said to expect spotting but didn't realize I would be having backaches and cramps
