Finding Pediatrician?

I'm a FTM and I'm still looking into which pediatrician I would like to have for my baby girl due in November, but I'm kind of lost on how the process works. I've heard that you should have a pediatrician picked out before they're born so does that mean I meet with them before I have the baby? Or do I just call and let them know about my pregnancy and I want to make her a new patient? I'm so lost! 😫

You just need a name really you don't have to call or meet them before unless you want to. The Hospital just needs the name so they can send records to them and if they have privileges in the hospital you deliver at they can if needed come see the baby.

I research every dr my family goes to so I did the same. You would be surprised how much you can find online and top drs in the us are put on lists(this depends where you live though). If you don't have that opinion then ask around.

I got recommendations from people that I trust on their pediatricians and then I went from there. None of them were accepting new patients, so that wasn't helpful. But I found a family doctor that I take her to and I really like him.

I'm having the same problem, but I'm having a baby boy!
I was just going to call and make a meet & greet appointment and discuss everything with the pediatricians. At least where I am looking they do that kind of thing...I'm not sure how pediatricians work, lol.
