Family or Me?

I found a guy who I really like, and I want to be his girlfriend, but a lot of my family doesn't want me to be with him just because he's black. And he's such a great guy. He's not even close to a stereotype...what do I do?? I mean, I'm 19, I should be able to handle who I want as a partner.
