Spoiled at 3 weeks 3 days?

My sweet baby love screams when she's put down. I'm not really sure how to break her out of this habit or comfort her without picking her up every time she cries. She's been changed & fed. There's literally no reason other than she wants to constantly be held. It's very hard to maintain home or simply take a nap when she does because of this. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

Newborns don't form habits or spoil. They want and need to be held! The first three months are called the fourth trimester because it's an adjustment period. They're learning how to live outside your body.

I have three kids and I promise it's very normal. She was held 24/7 in your belly for 10 months. If you held her 12 hours a day it wouldn't seem enough. Buy a moby wrap so you can multitask. Best investment ever

Try a wrap! I wear my son during his fussy days. That way baby is "held" but I have two hands free to get stuff done.

Swaddlers + white noise machines were my sons bffs. Lol. They like to be swaddled, makes them feel like they're in the womb again. Its the only way I could get him to stay asleep without having to carry him.

Thankfully my son doesn't cry too much but his favorite sleeping position is on my shoulder so I've got a baby bjorn that I use to put him in and do stuff. He goes to sleep right away. On days where I'm feeling lazy, I'll have him on my shoulder and catch up on games.

It could be some gas - I know with my twins I rub their bellies in a circular motion and make sure to keep them upright and pat their back/bum for 15 minutes. Sometimes one of them has a really good burp 10 minutes after feeding! I also love th swaddle sacks that do up with a zipper really helped them feel secure and seemed to settle them quite quickly once we used them.

I think it'll be something she'll grow out of. For now, just hold her 😊 she needs her mommy! She's still young. If you are having trouble getting things done then you can try baby wearing!
