11 month old refusing crib

So we have had our lo in our room in a pack n play during the summer (the heat was ridiculous and our room was the only one with ac.) And now that it's colder weather i have been trying to transition him into his crib in his own room. He has been taking naps in there just fine for about a week now.

Well last night we decided to have him sleep in his crib. It's a nightmare. I have been up about 15-18 times with him. I have tried just letting him fuss/cry a little before going in there. I have nursed him, I have just tried patting his bum, I have tried just rubbing his back etc. He screams like a hurt cry and will get louder until I take him out.

We have a white noise machine and it has a projector for the ceiling (he was using it in our room and likes it so I figured he would at least have that if he woke. Nope. Nothing I do is keeping him asleep. I have a huge headache from getting no sleep and hi im just screaming in my ear everytime I tried putting him in crib.

Someone please help this super tired momma. Advice? Just an understanding if it happened to you? I'll take anything. I'm exhausted!
