Should we press charges?
Sorry this shit is a hot mess right now and i dont know what to think.
My mother has schizoaffective bipolar disorder, stage 4 lung cancer, and was abusive all of my life.
She seemed to be on the mend lately trying to make amends and apologize for her past behavior.
We are 14 weeks pregnant.
For her birthday we (my So, my best friend, and i) go to her house to celebrate her birthday.
So we though a cute seek and find around her house and down into the back yard where her birthday presents were. A necklace with flat a slice of emerald the gem about 2' × 3' on a woven gold chain. A pair of jack skelington knee high socks. And to announce the book 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom' a toddlers book.
She had never indicated that she didn't want us to have children. Never. I knew she preferred my last boyfriend over my SO but I didn't think it was this drastic.
She loved the first two very much, but after she figured out what the book meant she lunged at my SO clawing his face and punching his stomach, trying to tear his ear off, (all he did was try to restrain her hands,) my father goes after him I start getting in between he and what my mother and SO, he pushes me away and separates my mother from SO and then he starts trying to fight SO, mother then turns on me screaming and slapping me, trying to drag me to the stairs to push me down them, I wriggle free and run to our truck, SO pushes my dad off of him and we all run to the car, and get in.
She is slamming on the windows, and we drive a block away and call the police. I had to go to the hospital to get baby checked out, (still in hospital). And police want to know if we would like to press charges.
The whole incident was videotaped by three (kinda) I got the seek and find clearly, and you can see the beginning of the fight, (phone was videotaping in my front shirt pocket). SO got up until he was attacked and Best friend got the whole thing because she didn't get involved.
My SO says we should but I guarantee because of her victim complex she will think it is our fault and never talk to us again.
