I've had this ongoing issue since the day we got married last year. 
I have a daughter that is not his, in the beginning, he was fine with her. He took her places, interacted with her. Made her feel special.
Once he got married, he decided he'd change and let me know that he didn't agree with my tactics as a parent. In turn, started treating her different. No interaction. All he says is hi and bye. And scolds her when she does something or says something he doesn't like.
She's 8 years old.
Today she ran in the house, excited to show "dad" her nails she just got done. He looked, shook his head and walked away. He immediately saw my feelings toward what he did. And then told me he wasn't dealing with my attitude. I asked him what his problem was and he said nothing. I'm guessing it was because he was pissed that I paid to get her nails done. And he thinks he's the only one that can spend money.
