Do you think the police force is classist?

Erin
For those who don't know, classist means to judge someone based on their social class and/or income. Do you think the police force are more likely to defend someone who is richer, more 'clean' and fresh looking than someone who is poorer? I'm asking because I was accused last year of stealing a cell phone - which, I didn't, it was given to me. The detective automatically accused me even after hearing my story - even after I suggested for him to look at the evidence which all pointed that it was given to me and that I was innocent. The accusers were my room mates mother and step dad who are filly rich and much older than me. Here I am, just a 22 year old girl, that was questioned for working night shift LOL... FYI, I am an RN that works the night shift and the detective gave me attitude until I revealed my career! So dumb.
