I used a box dye to touch up my roots only not thinking I have hair apt tomorrow for highlights,. My hair is dark brown now and will be getting blonde, caramel and light brown highlights. My hair always reacts well to color. Should I hold off on going to the salon for highlights? Or will I be ok since I only touched up my roots?

I know. Dumb move but I completely forgot I had the appt!

You won't be getting 3 diff blondes now that your roots arent virgin.....

I'd consult with the salon and let them know what you did. They will tell you whether or not to hold off. You don't want to ruin your hair.

Oh jeez. Box dye completely changes your hair. So it is going to be much harder for the stylist to lift it out and do highlights. It might even cost more since it will take longer and use up more product. I'm a hair stylist myself and I would refuse to do your service. I would call and ask.
