is it wrong of me not wanting family posting pics of our newborn on social media?

Especially my SOs sister because she's friends with a few of his exs on Facebook...I'm not jealous or anything of one in particular, so it's nothing like that. Ones been harassing me and hacking into my fiancés accounts and we haven't told anyone else because we don't wanna cause drama..we're trying to make it seem like to her that we're ignoring her. She even left a note on our door a few months ago saying 'I don't give a shit that your pregnant..I still hurt you' needless to say, we even moved to get away from her!
So is it wrong of me to not want his sister posting pictures of our baby on Facebook (unless she deletes her of course) To make it seem like it's not just her, I am going to tell my siblings and other family members not to post them as well..or would it be alright if I just told his sister flat out that I don't want her posting them because she's friends with his ex on there?? Without going into detail about what she's been doing to us though..
And when should I bring it up?? In the hospital when they come to visit??

Not at all!!!! My sister in law asked everyone not to post pictures and so we didn't. It's your baby don't feel bad for asking that! Let the mama bear shine!!! Lol

It's not wrong. I don't want them to either. No one needs to be seeing pictures of my baby, especially people I don't know. I have had my own photos stolen previously so I'm really paranoid about it. Also I have a stalker who knows my boyfriends family so I don't want him seeing the pictures. I do not have time for all that drama. Luckily they understand my reasoning and we'll be sending close family pictures in the mail and through email so it's more private.

We have a no social media rule. Even we don't post pics of our baby. For me it's about respecting her individuality and privacy until she's old enough to decide for herself what to share with the world. We did have to be very clear with family about posting her pics though. My MIL was disappointed but didn't make a big deal of it and has respected our choice.

My friend doesn't post her baby anywhere on social media and has requested all family and friends not to as well. I asked for permission if I could post one the first time I bet her baby because that's when she wasn't sure if she would or not and she allowed me to post it. But after that she just really doesn't want anyone seeing her baby on there because of pervs and such. Which I fully respect. I'm a photo happy mom myself but I actually really admire her for it to be honest.

My sil just had a baby and requested ppl not to post till they gave us word.  FIL did it 3 minutes after we saw the baby (spiteful idiot!). I plan to tell everyone not to as well.  If ppl see we are not home for several days and our house is vacant....that could be bad.  For anyone that does post (FIL) I will cause a ruckus!! Your child your rules as long as the child is safe!

It's your child and they don't have any right to post pictures of your baby online. My husband doesn't use Facebook and etc . So we will be enforcing a very strict no social media pictures rule to our family members. If they break if than clearly they don't need to be around our baby.

I doesn't have an issue with anyone posting pictures of their child I just think it's rude to post someone else's especially when they don't post pictures of their own child.
