when do doctors appointments get more exciting?

I'm 31 weeks now, my last exciting doctors appointment was the 20 week anatomy ultrasound... every doctors appointment just consists of my weight being taken, my blood pressure, and then listening to the heartbeat (don't get me wrong I love listening to the heartbeat) but it's really repetitive. Is there anything I can look forward to? My doctor rushes our appointments and it sucks:/ she just asks how the baby is doing and I'm like uhhhh idk??? Your the doctor, you tell me!! I wish she would care more...

That's pretty typical. It is a bit like no news is good news though. Exciting in the medical world tends to mean problems or complications.

That's all they need to do, later on they'll check your cervix every week if you want to consider that exciting..lol

My doctor is the same way she treats it like it's just another patient another bonus on the  paycheck. Following this post to see what people say I'm a ftm and was wondering the same

I'm seeing midwives, so it's a bit different. They do all the weight and blood pressure checks, but the appointments are about an hour. We talk and get to know each other. I'm liking it so much better than my experience with my first. Those were midwives too, but a different group.

My doctor is the same way. He just takes a measurement, listens to the baby's heartbeat, and asks if I've had any problems.

I like quick appointments, though, especially because I'm going to be sitting in that office for over a damn hour before I even see the doctor.

I think that's pretty standard all my appointments are exactly the same.

That's pretty much it. Nothing else happens until you get your very last scan done (if your doctor does it). The only thing that changes is how often you will go to your appointments and then when the doctor starts to check your cervix.  It's still going to be the same repetitive thing though.
