If you had steroids to develop the baby's lungs, but they were able to stop your preterm labor, when did your baby finally arrive?

And how big was he/she? Do the steroids make your baby bigger?

Steroids did NOT make any of my children bigger!

The steroids are to develop their lungs quicker. I went into preterm labor at 34 weeks and was on hospital bed rest for a week and then was discharged and had to be on bed rest at home and take procardia to control my contractions. I was able to get off procardia at 37 weeks and had her at 37w4d and she weighed 6lbs 6oz 😊

I went into pre-term labor at 35 weeks with my son. The contractions were stopped and i was given the steroids to help develop his lungs. He was born at 38 weeks weighing only 5lbs 13ozs. So no the shot didn't make him bigger. I feel like it made things worse on him.

I went into labour at 29 weeks. They stopped it bedrest and the shot for his lungs. Then he came out 39 weeks scheduled c section

Husband's boss just had this issue- she ended up being induced at 40 weeks (and a few days, not sure the number).  Her daughter is perfect, 7lbs and some change. :)
