how to Balance it all??

Hi ladies,
How do you balance work, mommy time, and time with your partner ? Chores at the house, cooking, etc... i just returned to work and me and my husband have been having some issues. We both have demanding work schedules and we kind of both got lazy and don't want to cook/ wash.... he really doesn't want to do much and does the minimal. I was on leave for 6 months and I did all the house work and cooking during that time and I think he got used to it. Now I'm
Coming home from work tired and want to just spend time with my son... what do you ladies recommend to help balance it all out?

My husband and I have been struggling to get everything done. What has helped me is that I downloaded the Spotless app for my iPhone and I keep track of what needs to be cleaned or done and how often. Also, we are really lucky the babysitter we have for our 6 month old daughter comes to our house to watch her and while the baby is napping she said she likes to keep busy and does laundry and cleans. So that has been great because I can get a lot more done and I'm less stressed when I get home. Maybe try hiring a babysitter for even a few hours so you can get things done without the baby or hire a cleaning company. I had one when I was pregnant, but they started slacking so after the baby was born I decided to do the cleaning myself to save money.

I had the same issues. What worked for my hubby and I was making a weekly chore chart (assigning simple tasks to a day of the week). That way it was pre-determined what had to get done and who was going to do it. We each picked our tasks after they were all listed so we kind of got to pick our own poison. It took away the not-it game and we both felt like the other was helping out. It also helped because no one had to nag the other to get something done when we were always tired and behind on everything. As far as dinners go, Costco has been our best friend. I shop over the weekend and find fast easy meals that we just pop in the oven. Not sure if you have a Sams or Costco type store near you but it's saved me. This way we have a plan and don't end up eating out all the time too.
