help me please?? I'm confused

Question

So this is my second child but my first time really bfing and my question is how do I separate milk for him to drink and milk to store. Do I freeze it all and pull it out as I need it or do I separate enough for him to drink and freeze the rest? If so how much should I set out?? I'm so confused.

I feed the baby from one breast and pump the other at the same time. I also keep all the extra milk in the fridge and then combine it at night. I know there is a deference between day and night milk but my baby will only be getting frozen while I'm at work so I don't really think it matters.

Anyway I freeze in increments of 6 oz. usually a baby has 4 bottles while im out so I only have to take out 3 bags a day to get enough for her to have 4 bottles while I'm at work. She only eats 4 oz at a time so far. I store the Milk in bags and then in gallon size freezer bags.  To defrost I take the frozen and put it in my fridge the night before, it's usually thawed by the am when I need to make bottles.  I took this a couple of weeks ago. I have 140 bags as of now. Good luck!

I exclusively pump and my son is a month old. I get 4-5 oz on each side every time i pump and he eats 4 oz at a time so i bag 4 or so oz and then save the other 4 for his next feeding. I have a ton of milk frozen already so im hoping to stop pumping at 3-4 months and have enough milk frozen to last until hes 6-7 months old.

What I've been doing and it seems to be working well is I will feed baby and then immediately pump whatever is left and store that and then I'll pump about an hour later and store that and then she will eat about an hour after second pump. I've stored about 10 ounces today

Honestly it's just bf on demand and pumping at the same time. I pump a lot in the beginning to jump start and trick my body. The only downfall is I over produce which can get painful
