Lunaception ๐ŸŒ•

Sa
Did you know our ancestors almost always ovulated with the Full Moon and bled with the New Moon? Before artificial lights were introduced and before humans started spending most of their time indoors, our bodies ovulated and bled together because of the light from the moon. We ovulated with the Full Moon because then there would be enough light to find our mates and thus have sex and hopefully conceive, then two weeks later we'd bleed with the New Moon if we didn't conceive.
"Lunaception" is the idea that we can mimick this ovulation pattern by sleeping in COMPLETE darkness (blackout curtains, no night light, door closed, etc) every day of the month except for the day before, during and after the Full Moon on which days you open the curtains and perhaps sleep with a small light on. This small amount of light on the days of the Full Moon is enough to stimulate ovulation.
Why would this be beneficial? If you're trying to conceive, lunaception can: 1. Encourage your body to actually ovulate, sometimes we don't ovulate for various reasons but when we actively stimulate our pineal gland for 3 days (as it was naturally stimulated since the beginning of humanity), we are more likely to ovulate. 2. If we're ovulating and bleeding with the moon, we know when we're ovulating and thus know when to have sex in order to conceive, it helps to take the guesswork out of TTC. This can also be used as an effective way to avoid pregnancy by abstaining from sex on the nights when we sleep with light on. And 3 It's simply natural. We feel more connected to the earth and to our ancestors, our bodies are balanced and some studies suggest that our hormones are more balanced when we ovulate and bleed with the moon.
What do you think? Would you consider using Lunaception to help you conceive? Have you ever used Lunaception? What was your experience like?
