What would you do? tell them?

PLEASE no rude comments or judging.
so someone messaged me looking for someone in my husband's family saying she's his GF AND admitted she now knows that he's married. i have no idea who this woman is. she kept requesting to follow me on Instagram but i don't approve people i don't know. so i messaged her and asked who are you? and right away she said i'm looking for so and so.

i kept the convo going so i could find out more info - call it being nosy or whatever but i did it.

i told my husband since that is his family and he told me not to meddle and not cause drama. he said i shouldn't have kept the message going. 
he said i shouldn't say anything because if it's not true then those family members are gonna look at me differently. that it's not my place or his place to say anything - they are grown adults and they should know better.

Sooo, he's asked me not to say anything and i'm respecting his wishes because i wouldn't go behind his back but i'm just curious how many of you ladies would say something??

Kinda sounds like your husband knows about the affair and is trying to keep his brother out of trouble. I would dig a little deeper as to why your husband wants to keep this secret

If I were in her shoes, I think I would want to know about that message. I mean, even without your interference, anything that is in the dark will always be brought into the light eventually. And she probably already knows somethings up. So it's a hard thing to decide. Maybe staying quiet is best, although I know I'd like to know if it were me. If it were me and one of my family members or friends brought this information to my attention, I would do nothing but thank them, and then I would investigate further on my own. But if they kept that information from me, I might find it hard to trust them in the future if I found out they knew and didn't tell me. I would be supremely pissed off if anyone of my family members were covering for my husband. I don't know… I can't tell you what to do… But these are just some things to think about before you make your decision.

If it were my family then yes but my husband's family then no, because they hate me.

I'd definitely tell them that this girl messaged you. Firstly because if I were in this situation, I'd wanna know, and secondly, if he really is cheating then he deserves to get exposed and fucked up. Cheaters deserve no reapect.
