Dogs.. help.. 😥

Second, I only want advice. I'm absolutely heartbroken/crying right now and at a loss as to what to do.  

I have two German Shepherds. Absolutely beautiful dogs. They are good dogs but, this past 6 months have gotten bad. They act out. They don't seem to listen/learn. But, I think it's because my husband and I aren't home enough.  They're in the cage all night/all day while we're at work. I feel absolutely awful. 

The biggest problem is that my boy (3 yrs old) shits sooo much. Like he gets diarrhea quite often and just goes. Of course he can't help it. We've had all sorts of testing done. All seems fine. So, I say he just has a sensitive stomach. We've changed foods too. I no longer feed him anything besides his food that seems to work best for him at this point. When he poops in the cage, it of course gets everywhere. All over him. My girl dog. It's just a huge mess. He'll go through spurts where he won't do this for a few weeks then it's like 3-4 times a week. 

We just bought a brand new home not even two years ago and it smells like shit half the time. 

I absolutely love my dogs more than anything but, my husband is fed up. He works his butt off to give us everything we ever wanted and more. He doesn't want this beautiful home to smell like poop which I totally get.  Also more than likely we'll be going through IVF in the next few months. (Another doctors appt next week to know for sure) so, he doesn't want to deal with this crazy nonsense on top of the baby stuff going on & we'll be shooting for twins. 

I know I'm kindve all over the place but, my heart is broke. I've had one baby for 2.5 years and the other for 1.5. I need advice. I need animal lovers to tell me what to do.  😥
