twins the same as Irish twins

My mom insists she knows what it's like to have twins because she had two kids in diapers at the same time (a year and a half apart). I am getting really annoyed with her. Haven't had my twins yet, but I am pretty sure there is a huge difference in having a new born and a baby whose 18 months old and have two newborns. Pet peeves when people talk to you about your twins?
