cloth diapers for newborns?

My partner and I want to use cloth diapers primarily from day one, but I am clueless about what kind to get for a newborn. Any cost-effective suggestions?

I'd like to register for some, preferably on Amazon.

The first few poops (meconium) stain and are really hard to wash out (kind of tarry) so just keep that in mind so you're not surprised! Some people use disposable a couple of days until that has cleared out. Congrats on your little one!

Prefolds and covers are definitely the most cost effective for newborns or look into a cloth rental for the newborn size. Green Mountain Diapers has a ton of great info on cloth diapering. I love their prefolds under thirsties covers.

We loved the Little Joeys! Use a flushable liner and it will help them from getting stained.

We have used best bottoms since day one. My baby was 7lbs 3oz. You buy covers which snap to fit from birth to potty and than three different size liners depending on size. At night you add a doubler. We are getting ready to use them on baby number 2. They are sold on Amazon.
