Help!! My son is almost 5 months old and in a rear facing infant carrier, but he is 30 inches long and his feet are starting to hang over the car seat. I have the convertible car seat but is he to small to put in that? Thank you!!

I had the same problem. I'm in the UK so I called the road saftey agency that we have.   The person I spoke to said that it doesn't matter if their feet hang over the end because in a crash, babies and children will naturally bring their legs up anyway. What matters is where there head is. As long as their head isn't hanging over the top, they are ok. 
Like I say, I'm in the UK so I have no idea what the rules elsewhere are but I hope this helps.

My convertible car seat starts from 5 lbs so Google yours. Make sure it can be installed rear facing

You can put baby in a convertible car seat as long as his weight is between the weights listed on the seat. He should not forward face until at least 2 years old. Anything before that and he could be seriously injured or worse in the case of an accident. I have read stories of infants and children under 2 who have been internally decapitated because of forward facing too young​.

You can use a convertible seat from birth. So no, he's not too small.
