If you had known how hard it was to be with someone who has a kid from a previous relationship, whose Baby Momma happens to be a total BITCH, would you have walked away instead of committing to a relationship with your partner?

It's not his fault or the kids. She is just bitchy. Some people take longer to grow up. I would still love my man and his kid and I'd do it better than she did.

My advice to you is to set boundaries. I get so exhausted hearing about the stupid fights they have that I've asked him not to rely so much information to me. I also sometimes have voiced opinions on the upbringing of their daughter and nothing changes and it's so very frustrating that I've chosen not to say anything unless it will impact me directly (so like big money purchases or a different schedule for visits). Have a conversation about how involved you need to be in that mess, then enforce the boundaries. Everyone will be happier for it!

Prior to getting knocked up, I never dated anyone with kids from a previous relationship. I now feel obligated to be open to that possibility should I start dating again.
