not taking a bottle and weaning a baby around 6 months with solids schedule?
Hi everyone, for medical reasons... I can't take medications, creams, or have surgery if I'm breastfeeding due to fissures (very painful) I'm thinking I will start around when my little guy is 6 months to wean him.
We tried giving a bottle the other day and he used to take it when he was 2/3 months, had to give him a bottle due to thrush, but haven't had to for awhile.
How did you wean from the breast while starting solids? I guess my biggest issue it reintroducing the bottle? I've read that some moms had to be out of the house to do so... my husband works full time so I'm debating how we will do this if that's the only way. What else worked?
What was your schedule like with introducing solids? I'm guess I'll get rid of a midday or night feeding (have my husband bottle feed) at first and slowly wean one feeding a week... I'm just nervous about him taking the bottle with me :-/
Thanks a bunch!
