what lifestyle changes have you made ttc and have they helped?
When I first started ttc 3 years ago 8 months went by and no bfp. Then I decided to start taking prenatal vitamins (I know I should have been taking them already but I was so naive) and conceived the following month. Unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks.
After that miscarriage I decided to cut gluten out of my diet as I had read in many places that it wasnt good for underactive thyroid which I do have. I managed to conceive 5 months later but unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks.
My second miscarriage really took a toll on my physical and mental health I was absolutely devastated as I had really believed this one would stick after all the effort I made of going gluten free which was really hard for me.
Because I was so depressed I fell ill many times. I got a urine infection, tonsillitis, skin infection all within a few months of each other. It took me 15 months to conceive again but unfortunately I lost that one at 12 weeks in November 2016.
I was seen by a specialist in late January who diagnosed me with pcos. He prescribed me myo inositol which I have been taking along with following a low gi diet. I conceived the following month which is the quickest I have managed to fall pregnant. Unfortunately I miscarried that one too on march 6th at 6 weeks on my 3 year wedding anniversary.
Although the 4th miscarriage was devastating I managed to move on from it alot quicker than the previous three as I know mental health is very important when ttc. I am hopeful the myo inositol and glutenfree and low gi diet combined will help me to conceive and carry to term. I need to stay strong and happy for the sake of my rainbow baby.
sorry for the long post. Do share your stories I would love to read them.
