Being friends with a guy that liked you...

So, before I came from my city to London, I had a guy who liked me, but we never had anything - we were just friends. He had feeling for me as he admitted but we remained as friends and I actually really seen him like a "best-friend" to me... when I came to London, I did not tell anyone, and since then he has not spoken to me altho we kept as friends on facebook and stuff.. he moved away to another country too and for six years we went on with our lives without keeping in touch, but he was always in a special place in my heart for me..
