22 too young to get engaged?

Is 22 too young to be engaged? I'm 21 now and my bf and I have plans to be engaged in 1-2 years. I've been with my boyfriend almost 2 years now, and in all likelihood, we'll be moving in together later this year after I've graduated. I feel that this is the next logical step in our relationship and am positive that this is the man I want to marry. I'm just worried that people will think it's too young and that I should "live" instead of being tied down. Thoughts?

Nah. I'm engaged and have been since a couple days after I turned 18, with both parents blessing too. I'm still 18 and will be when I get married in June. People give me weird looks but that's fine. Whatever this "living" is that people talk about, I'm not interested in. I wanna be married to my best friend. That's living to me!! I say do what feels right and don't worry about what people think. If you're both ready then that's what matters

People will judge you for getting married young, people will judge you for getting married old. If you are ready to commit your life to him, then go for it. What other people think doesn't matter.

Don't worry about that people think. I would definitely give yourself time to really get to know him wait till you live together for a few years. Engagement is a next step but you don't have to do it by the book based on time. My boyfriend and I have been together 5 years and two kids later we don't see a point in spending all that money on a ring and wedding till our children are older.to us that's money we could spend on our children , I trip to Disney, train tickets for our son, but that's just us.., So it's really up to you.. everyone's situations is different as long as your happy that is all that matters😍best of luck:)

I started dating my husband at 16, engaged 3 months later, moved in together at 19, our first child at 20/21, our second child at 22, married at 23.

So many people said I ruined my life. No, I didn't. I married the love of my life. We both went to college. I graduated when I was pregnant with #3. We both went to grad school, and I graduated when I was pregnant with #5. We have five beautiful children. We have an amazing life. I would never trade any of it for a life of freedom. I never wanted to "live a little". I wanted my family, my education, and my career.

Age is a number. Do what makes you happy.
