Worst Gender Reveal Guest...

I thought gender reveal parties were a small celebration for family and close friends, I've never had a gender reveal or a baby shower before so I'm not the most educated on this topic, but someone told me today that they were expecting tons of presents at their GR and that a registry was made to make gift giving easier.

I feel like an awful guest, cause the most I've ever taken was a small pack of diapers and wipes, I didn't realize big gifts were expected/given. I don't really go to these shendigs often - I've been to 5 baby showers and 3 gender reveals, perhaps that's why I wasn't knowledgeable about this but other than diapers and wipes what do you give?
