Dying talking with dead?

Curious on your thoughts on this. To give you some personal background, my loving and amazing grandmother who was always sharp as a tack has been in the hospital since Mar 24, and turned 75 on Apr 1. There is a laundry list of issues and that list just keeps growing. Its heartbreaking, and depressing, and very hard to focus on anything but think of how I'd feel to be in the hospital at that age getting infections, oxygens, IVs, bruising, catheter (sp?) etc... anyway, she's been saying Daddy a lot. Her father died long before I was born (I'm 31 now) and I'm curious if you believe the dying speaks to the dead. Posting here in CC and there is a lot of debate of ghosts, religions, etc. Anyway, thanks for reading and wondering what the feedback will be.

I know this sounds crazy but hear me out:
I didn't know something about my mom, but had a dream about the great grandmother I never met. She told me "she was talking care of my mother's other children, that they're fine. That she had other (dead) children". Mind you, my brother passed as an infant but she said "children", pural..

So I went to my mom and asked if she has other children, lost them in miscarriages or abortion, she had told me no at first.

I went to my dad and asked, because I know my mother lies to protect the way I view her. He said, "Oh yeah, definitely". I asked both of them together if she had ever had any miscarriages and abortions, and finally, my mother admitted to going through both.

Then after, I told her about my dream and she smiled and laughed. Told me that's so crazy.

Like I said, never met my great grandmother, the only dead sibling I was aware of was my little brother, never knew my mother had ANY miscarriages or abortions, and my whole life I hadn't lived with them (only visits) so I couldn't have "overheard". I definitely do believe they can communicate with the living. This wasn't my only experience after all.

I have observed the dying and read up on how they process their memories as their brain becomes effected or on the medicine administered in end of life care. 
   
This is not an unusual behavior displayed as they become disassociated from what is going on around them.

When my grandmother's health started to deteriorate she started talking to people who had passed. Not sure about your grandmother but mine had dementia, and she was blind by the end, her long term memory was there her short term was gone. She would talk about things that happened in the 50s and it was 2008. But I definitely believe people have a connection to spirits. My son is 3 months old and he always looks in one corner of our living room and smiles and babbles, and since he was born we've started having issues with one of our lights turning off and hearing people walking down our stairs when no one is there. I always ask him if he's talking to angels and he smiles, I like to think it's my grandparents.

My best friends younger brother passed away from juvenile cancer when he was 10....I remember for his last several weeks he would be talking to relatives that had passed away already. Hed have moments of clarity and describe them to a t and here mom would figure out exactly who he meant. It was always that they wanted him to rest and come with them....I'm not a believe in a lot of this mystical stuff but that always stuck with me. It got to the point we were all telling him to go with them so he could rest and stop fighting. RIP AMB 💕💕

My husbands grandma when she was dying started talking to dead friends and relatives and losing her lucid thoughts.

Idk .. when I was taking care of my grandma, and she was in her final stages, she often had conversations with people in our family who had crossed over. She had mentioned a baby (she thought she was pregnant for a while there) and a few weeks after her passing my cousin found out he was going to be a father.. that was cool.
And at one point her 4 former husband were apparently in the room with her at one time.
Idk if it's because one is so close to death, they often think about those who have passed? Or if there is a connection there. But so many people have experienced or witnessed this. It's interesting.

I guess there's no way to ever know... but there are studies about the pineal gland releasing massive amounts of DMT prior to death. DMT causes hallucinations.

There are many entities that visit us at our hour of death, primarily those we know who have already passed.

I believe that the dying speak to their loved ones who've passed. I believe that with my whole heart. It's a beautiful thing, really. My Grammy passed away and for weeks she said that she saw her brothers, they sat with her and told her it wasn't her time yet. And when it was her time to go she said "they say they're ready for me"

My grandpa on the other side saw his brother Harold so vividly I almost believed it.

My grandpa (married to my Grammy) passed away and said that Grammy told him it was okay to go with her. Those were literally his last words. And in a very eerie, but beautifuly strange way, it's the most comforting thing to know that they aren't scared because they have those who passed before them.
