Don't know what to do

I do not really speak to my mother (neither does my husband) . She and I don't get along all that well (she's mentally and emotionally abusive and has mental issues) . She doesn't know that my husband and I are expecting , but since I probably won't see her for Mother's Day , I was thinking of just mailing her gifts and a onesie that is a birth announcement and a grandma greeting card . What do you think ?
