Could you feel tearing?

Question

So I'm a FTM and reading about episiotomies and natural tearing during birth. And it's freaking me out. I want to have a natural birth if I can because I don't want the complications of an epidural. But what if I tear? My mom did with me because i was huge. So, if any of you ladies can give me your experiences it would help. I'm afraid that tearing will be super painful. If I go natural and tear, how bad is it and am I likely to feel it? If I get an epidural thinking I won't feel tearing, might I feel it anyway? Or is it really not worth worrying about because I might not tear? Thanks ladies!

I'm assuming the 'ring of fire' prevents you from feeling anything other than the ring of fire lol! But I'm a FTM too so I wouldn't know.

You won't always tear when having a baby and most times you don't even realize it until they tell you because all you can tell is that the baby is coming out

I didn't tear with epidural nor did I have any problems. As long as you push only when they tell you to you'll be fine

I'm a FTM and I had two second degree tears and one first degree tear. Never felt the "ring of fire" because of my epidural.
However, once I was home I began to feel EVERYTHING :/

Honestly I had a natural birth and my adrenaline prevented me from knowing anything all I felt was PAIN then later they tell me I need stitches lol

I had a first degree tear with my daughter and an epidural who came out 8lbs6oz. I had no tearing with my son, all natural and 9lbs1oz. 
When I tore I didn't feel it. Most people don't. There is so much adrenaline and so much going on. However when the head starts coming through the birth canal you get to this point that's called "the ring of fire". And it feels like you are on fire down there. So much burning to the point where you want to stop pushing so the burning stops. BUT don't stop pushing! Get the head through. Once the head gets through there is so much relief!!

I tore minimally with all 3 of my kids, never once felt it. The first one they did a stitch afterward, with my next two babies the Dr.s said the tear would heal on its own (no stitching), and they healed no problem. TMI but I even had normal bowl movements a few hrs after all my deliveries and did not have pain down there, tear and all. Try not to worry about it, the baby coming out is what you will feel, and tearing will be the last thing on your mind! 😌
