If I'm pregnant, is this technically my first Mother's Day?

I consider this to be my first Mother's Day! One of my coworkers who is not a mom and has no family living in this state is dating someone that has kids, she was telling me that, "Your not a mom and you shouldn't be able to get today off work. I should instead because I'm dating someone that has kids so I'm like their mom now". 
It's not a big deal because I got off in time for the dinner I'm going to tonight, but just made me think that what my coworker said was kind of weird.

As I said on a pervious post, I didn't celebrate it when I was pregnant because to me I wasn't really a mother yet. Giving birth to my daughter and the experiences and everything I've been through since she was born is what I feel MADE (caps for emphasis, not yelling lol) me a mother. But if you feel like celebrating today, then go right on ahead.

I could not fathom saying that to someone. You most certainly are a mom if you're pregnant. I feel she's less of a mother because she said that out of greed. So rude.

You are more mom than her !!! I celebrated both UK and USA Mother's Day, my hubby got me flowers and made breakfast.
