First appointment?

Do I have to have a pap smear done at my first appointment if I can show past medical records of normal paps? I used to go every year (doctors kid) until this last year and have always had normal ones. I am a little apprehensive of having one while in the first trimester so I would just like to push it off for a month or so?

You can always say no to anything. My pap wasn't until my second appointment though!

I have one done regularly and my doctor chose not to do one because they all came back okay!

I had one because it had been about 3 yrs since my last. I was scared because I had a miscarriage about a month prior but I had no issues with it.

I had a pap smear during my first app. and I spotted a little after it. It's best not to push it back incase it comes back abnormal, it's better to find out sooner rather than later. Good luck!
