Are your dogs or cats spayed/neutered?

Wondering why some people choose not to spay/neuter? I could understand if you were breeding the animal or if that specific animal was in bad health and it would be risky to put them under. But if you have a healthy animal and don't need them to be able to reproduce, why not? I'm sure cost MAY be a factor, but like in my area a spay/neuter is $65. Most large dogs (like mine) will eat $65 worth of food in a month and a half or two, not to mention your costs for flea and tick prevention, so can you really say that you can't afford to spay/neuter but you can properly afford everything else? And wouldn't the grossness of a dog bleeding on stuff or an obnoxious cat in heat be enough reason to have it done, costs aside? I had both of my animals spayed as soon as they were old enough, my cat was 12 or 13 weeks old I believe and my dog was a little bit older. What are your reasons not to?
