Another name question - 2 parts
So I'm hoping for opinions and or suggestions on what others did for names in my situation...
First - for those of you that didn't take their spouses last name, how are you handling the naming of your child? They automatically take your husband's name, hyphenated, something else?
Second, we just found out we're having a girl. Granted I haven't mentioned it to my husband, but one name I've been considering is Valentina. However my husbands sister and grandmother are both Valerie/Val and I'm not sure how much further that name goes back in the family. My reasoning for the name has nothing to do with them. Not knowing the story/reason behind it, do you think the name is too similar?
