Strange Period?
This may be gross, but I don't know where else to ask.
I've been having my period regularly since my daughter was 8 weeks (she's now six months) and it started today. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed the blood on the pad didn't have the regular period blood smell. It distinctly smelled like the blood I had for a few weeks after giving birth to my daughter in December. Is this normal? I've had over a decade of periods and they've always had the same odor, so this smell was specific to afterbirth blood (until now, I guess). I was over a week late when my period started, but I haven't felt weird other than cramping (I normally don't cramp). I haven't had a miscarriage before either, so I don't know if this is what they are like or if it's just a wonky period. Has anyone experienced something like this or possibly have any ideas as to what this could mean? Thanks so much in advance!
