is this normal?

i bled for two weeks after having my baby, stopped for two weeks now my period started on monday & it'll be a week tomorrow.. and it gets really heavy at times. before pregnancy, my period would last 4 days and only be heavy for a day. is it normal for it to last this long & be so heavy?

My first period after my daughter was AWFUL. I'm talking cramps that were worse than contractions, BLOOD EVERYWHERE, soaking through multiple pads, leaking on the floor, etc. I thought I was dying. However, this was 8 weeks after baby, so I don't know about it being that close together.

I'm not a doctor, but I've been told uoirnperiod can change after having a baby. It will take a while for your body to regulate a period back on a "normal" schedule. I'm 5 months pp, and still waiting for it to become normal
