Not setting a date? 😒👰🏽

Ok so been with my fiancé for 6 years soon and engaged for 2 and half. 10 months ago he decided we should have a baby (I have a 10 year old from my previous long term relationship) and was like ok that's great
Long story short he had a condition that will make it near impossible to get preg naturally and next step is IVF which I would go through a million times to get our baby

We had a chemical pregnancy last week and he was there for me and really lovely. He's normally a bit heartless to situations as he doesn't ever show any emotions. I just have been thinking this is def the man I want to marry and asked him this morning about setting a date, he bacisally made a joke about it and said no then compared me to this girl that's marrying his best friend that wanted everything in a year and is like a gold digger! I'm gutted, I work have my own money and have never rushed 'us'.
Not sure what to do now I feel a bit angry AND stupid now!

Yeah...I've had friends in similar situations and they ended up breaking up because their fiances  didn't seem like they would ever actually be into having the wedding. I also can't understand why he'd be all about a baby but not a wedding if he's already asked you. After those comments, I'd be done. He doesn't seem very trustworthy.

Maybe just ask him what his thoughts are on you 2 getting married. He obvs wanted the end result or why did he propose in the first place! Maybe hes just really overwhelmed with the ivf stuff and struggling to think past that at the moment. Good luck xxx
