Bible study Tuesday (June 06, 2017)

Hello my sisters in Christ. I praying for God presence in each of your lives. Please feel free to add on to today's study session. Share whatever God has put on your heart.

Today on my bible app as my daily scripture I was given this scripture.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Isaiah 29:13 KJV

The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

So, when I read it, I naturally wondered to myself, does this describe me. Is my worship sincere and from my heart. Or is it just me doing what I see others do or just for to be seen? I think we all need to search deep within in ourselves. We should all take a moment and truly evaluate ourselves, and our motives. We may think that by lying to ourselves or to others we are getting by. But God see's it all and he judges it all.

Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the Lord , who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?” You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”?

Isaiah 29:15‭-‬16 NIV

Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord , and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

So, I say that our prayer for ourselves should be for God to expose things about us that is not acceptable to him. Expose them a direct us in how to rid ourselves of those things. So that our worship is sincere and our walk with God is sincere. It would be ashame to have done all in vain and error. So, let us all pray for the guidance of God to place inside of us all a sincere praise to God. In Jesus name I pray.
