How much did you spend on your wedding?

If you are married, how much did you spend on everything? Or how much would you be willing to spend? Please comment as well with what you spend the most money on!

Under 10, years ago. Things are more expensive now as I understand it. We had it on my parents farm and did a lot of diy. It was perfect. The food was incredible.

It depends what kind of wedding you want! My husband and I rented a studio space in NYC for three hours, I bought all the decorations, every guest (only 30) brought their favorite dessert to share (we had an afternoon wedding) - we ended up having a massive table of the most delicious desserts!! Instead of gifts, we thought it would be beautiful for everyone to share something they love with everyone else. Bought bottles of champagne from Trader Joe's worth $100, and some people came early to help set it all up. It was perfect and so so beautiful. 
We ended up spending $500 for everything.

I spent most of that money on the reception venue and food and those total were about 3000, the rest was pretty cheap.

$8,000 from start to finish, including tux rental, my dress, catering, etc. I wouldn't have changed a thing!! The most expensive thing was the food - but we had an awesome DJ, a beautiful venue, and my dress was my dream dress! Everything was great & we didn't have to spend a fortune!

My husband and I got married at the magistrate's office in our hometown (total cost for marriage license and paying the magistrate was about $80 I think), we had a small reception at my mom's.. Food was maybe around $100 - $150 , decorations maybe $30 , my dress and shoes were bought at Khol's for like $30 (flip flops and a maxi dress) , my husband's outfit was around $30 (collar shirt and dress pants) , and we spent around $100 for a hotel room in a bigger city about an hour away from us that night. It was all perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing!

I'm not yet married but I have a dream venue up here in Canada in the mountains. It's to die for but is expensive and only holds like 60 people or something. I would absolutely be willing to spend the money on the venue and the photographer because the photos would be absolutely killer. The dress, catering, all that extra stuff I would spend as little as possible to try and balance out the budget. I'm not a huge believer in spending thousands and thousands especially on something like a dress when the memories are what's most important to me
