How do i connect with my boyfriend's daughter?

Since I've been with my boyfriend, I have always do everything to connect with his kids. He has a girl 14 and a boy 7. I connect well with the youngest but for the girl I feel like unless I give her money or buy her something I will never connect with her. Every time I plan for us but(me, her, my bf and the  son) she always say "I don't wanna hang out with my Dad, I want to  hang out with my friends" What do I connect with her?

Could you do something fun with her and one of her friends? Like maybe all go get your nails done or even just go get ice cream or something. Maybe she would feel more comfortable with a friend with her, and if it's fun I can assure you 100% her friends gonna talk about it like "your dads girlfriends so cool" and stuff like that and the daughters gonna hear that and start coming around to the idea

It's her age did you want to hang out with your parents at that age? Try taking her to lunch at her favorite place, maybe get her nails done with you. Do something that you and her can repeat once a week may a day out of it or a few hours. Maybe lunch and movie or lunch and nails. If you know what she likes or if her dad knows what she likes have him help you plan something for her. 14 is an awkward age and you are the new person I know it's hard but don't give up.
