I understand but try your best not to. I was craving a really cold beer so I satisfied it with one sip of my SO's. Put it off as long as possible or if you're craving a cocktail you can always do virgin. Sometimes it just comes from habit or social norms but it's best not to for the baby.

I know a couple women who drank a glass of wine periodically throughout their pregnancies because "women in France do it" and they are now dealing with development delays in their babies. It may have nothing to do with their alcohol consumption but they've said they will forever wonder if it's their fault.

Women in some countries drink small amounts during pregnancy but is it really worth the risk?? I don't think so. If you can't go a couple months without a drink you may want to discuss that with your doctor.

Is it okay with your OB? It is usually NOT recommended to drink alcohol. Check with your OB in regards to how much, how often, and what to drink.
