Telling MIL about baby- help!

I'm in a pretty ridiculous situation and looking for advice. DH and I found out that we're expecting and right now I'm 6 weeks 5 days. We've told my parents and his dad (we live very close by/work with them), they're so happy and excited. DH's parents are divorced, and just so happens my MIL despises me. She's tried to get between us and break us up a number of times, does not respect our home, always has something nasty to say. I essentially haven't spoken to her or seen her since Christmas. DH and her were close (he's an only child) before she decided she didn't like me. She wanted nothing to do with our wedding last year either but still attended and was rude to me. DH told her excitedly on Mother's Day that we were going to start TTC and she was very upset, told him it was too soon, not the right time, too early, bad idea. Him and I have been together for five years and own a home, have good careers, etc.

The question is... how should we (or him lol) tell her that we're having a baby? We don't plan on a social media announcement for a few months. Sorry for the long post but trust me- this is short and sweet! 😂
